im listening to you for some time now, and watch your videos, youre a giant, and I thank you for sharing your world with us, im struggling with colours, maybe thats because i never studied any colour theories and never practiced when i should have, but instead i discovered volume, clay modelling, and drawing, I abandoned it after failing exams at University back in 1998, and now, I abandoned my country also, for more than 10 years now, and am a humble simple working man, and because of you i bought clay again, and acrylics, and canvases, and mediums, charcoals, and I will try again to see if I can paint or at least do something with these two hands. Many thanks. God bless you and your family and friends. By the way, got your book from Amazon, i sleep with it beside my bed.
my sincere compliments for your art
The more l listen to yourvideo's the more l got nourished. Keep up Brian with your works! With love Annie
I loved this and appreciate the lessons I’m being taught.
Magnifique Artiste😮😮
Just so awesome. Words of wisdom about colour.
You just have so much practical good advice. Do you do workshops as I would love you to be my teacher.
I love your paintings. I feel they now need to change. I believe us artists are composers and the Beatles were unique in that their songs were all different. I have the ability to compose but I lack skill. You have a lot of skill and knowledge but I feel you need to break free.
Love watching your studio visits. Like watching poetry.
I love your reflections on Painting and Life - painting is still made by heart and hand and that is a door to experience and sharing 🎶💚🎵🐸
"the protective gelatin of the pond" ..in painting~ form is uterine..floating, humid as inner light filters down through arterial design...
Brian Your Wonderfull Thanks
Brian, you make me laugh out loud! Love the greens but especially your mom's admonition (which I don't need to repeat here!).
Absolutely love your videos. I watch all the time in my studio and everything you say makes sense
Thank you.
So much informaiton! I love how you explain your paintings and also analyse the old Masters. It brings art to life for me. Thank you!
A friend just sent me your latest vid. Wow, exactly what I need to kick me out of my art rut. Thanks.
love ya.too...and get back in that damn studio
Nice
Amazing!
I love these vids! He's inspired me in my own channel.
Thank you for your insight! I appreciate the art history references
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your studio visits are so meaningful to me I can't quite find any other words....
I had to pause your tape several times to write notes. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Much appreciated. Yellow and Pink, who would think?
You are my go to guy for inspiration when i get lost in my head. 'Make a lot of work and destroy it all' - that's the line that keeps me going.
Brian, thank you for your inspirational videos.
Look so forward to another studio chat with Brian, always interesting helpful and thought provoking . Thank you !!!
Great thoughts/ lessons, thank you for sharing. In ‘The Wrestlers’ the outer legs are a similar value (and the inner legs too) which gives the impression of one mass of a body with a wide & stable stance. Will you bring in some more female artists from history too, please 🙂
Like everyone else, I adore these studio talks! I have seen all your videos and look forward to each new one! You have great wisdom and kindness! You give me permission to do what I love and not struggle with the rest! Thank you for the time and skill you put into each of these videos!! Quala
These videos bring laughter, learning, wisdom and encouragement. I love your work and thank you for these nuggets of painting!
Inspiring and insightful comments, punctuated by numerous annoying commercial interruptions.
Thank you for all your amazing videos. Your wisdom and humor inspire me to become a full-time artist. After doing your small juried exhibitions, when was your big break that turned you into a full-time artist? What were the art business practices that you did to get you there? Thanks for any insight you can provide :-)
These studio visits and talks inspire me immensely. I treasure each one. Thank you for the time you put into them. I’ve learned so much from you. I love your outlook on art and life. ❤️
Not only do I covet your paintings, but I learn so much in each of your videos! I so look forward to each and every episode and I've seen all 80! Keep them coming Brian....keep us enthralled and thank you!
What you say sure sounds good.
Love the colours you use.
Great video Brian , Gives us a great idea of your thoughts about painting and your process , thank you for sharing all the tiny bits of information that you have collected over the years of your artistic journey .. All that wisdom is priceless . Love your work.
A massive thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing yourself with us. You are a masterful painter and a person and you makes us all feel like we're reaching for the stars. Thank you, thank you!
The most powerful part of your paintings is when you put a pile of paint on your gloved hand, slide it on the canvas and go for it!! So gutsy, brave and I’m ready to try it! Love your formula for the linen color for sides of painting too! You’re our leader🎨👷
Thanks, Brian, weirdly inspirational as ever. Somehow manage to cut through all the “guff” with something that sounds so much like the guff but isn’t. Genius.
Love your down to earth words of wisdom as well as seeing you apply those luscious colors to the canvas. Thank you!
The greatest video that REALLY teaches how to paint. What to paint...is up to us!
I've watched many of your videos and I always come away with.....I wished I had been brave back in 1986 by heading to NYC rather than staying in Maine to party with friends back then. :D Anyway, your paintings are brilliant and you are more brilliant than any of your paintings could dream of being!
Brian offers very helpful comments, insights, view points and practical tips. At times too much philosophical mish mash..and in this episode his comments on soap bubble balance ..sounds like he is blowing bubbles!
I just love your talks! Most cerebral workout I get all year!
Who is the classical pianist in many of your videos?
